Important Safety Notice

Motocross is an inherently dangerous sport. Serious injury or death can occur even when following all safety guidelines. Participate at your own risk and always prioritize safety over performance.

Essential Safety Gear

Mandatory Equipment

Head & Face Protection

  • • DOT/ECE approved helmet
  • • Goggles with clear/tinted lenses
  • • Helmet must fit properly
  • • Replace after any impact

Body Protection

  • • Chest/back protector
  • • Long pants and long sleeves
  • • Knee and elbow guards
  • • Riding boots (over ankle)
  • • Gloves

Track Rules & Etiquette

General Track Rules

  • Always follow track-specific rules and regulations
  • Ride within your skill level and comfort zone
  • Maintain awareness of other riders at all times
  • Use appropriate hand signals when passing or exiting
  • Stop riding if you feel fatigued or unwell
  • Report any hazards or dangerous conditions immediately

Passing & Overtaking

  • Only pass when it's safe and you have a clear line
  • Signal your intentions clearly
  • Don't force passes in corners or dangerous sections
  • Give way to faster, more experienced riders
  • If being passed, hold your line and don't block

Track Flag System

Green Flag

Track is clear and racing may proceed normally.

Yellow Flag

Caution - hazard on track. Slow down, no passing.

Red Flag

Stop immediately - serious incident or dangerous conditions.

Checkered Flag

Session finished - slow down and return to pits safely.

Emergency Procedures

In Case of Accident

  1. Ensure your own safety first - move away from track if possible
  2. Signal for help - wave your arms or helmet if conscious
  3. Don't move if seriously injured - wait for medical assistance
  4. Clear the track - move bike off track if safe to do so
  5. Report the incident - inform track officials

Helping Other Riders

  • Stop safely and signal to other riders
  • Only move injured riders if there's immediate danger
  • Call for medical assistance immediately
  • Help clear the track if it's safe to do so
  • Provide basic first aid only if qualified

Pre-Ride Safety Checklist

Personal Preparation

Bike Preparation

Weather Conditions

Wet Conditions

  • Reduce speed significantly and increase following distance
  • Avoid sudden movements and hard braking
  • Be extra cautious on painted lines and metal surfaces
  • Consider stopping if conditions become too dangerous

Hot Weather

  • Stay hydrated and take frequent breaks
  • Watch for signs of heat exhaustion
  • Consider riding during cooler parts of the day
  • Monitor bike temperature and cooling system

Beginner Safety Tips

  • Start on easier tracks and build skills gradually
  • Consider taking a riding course or getting instruction
  • Ride with more experienced riders who can guide you
  • Don't try to keep up with faster riders
  • Learn to fall properly to minimize injury
  • Practice emergency braking and evasive maneuvers
  • Understand your bike's capabilities and limitations
